I started my N7 build last night and began with disassembling and reassembling the tail transmission. I noticed on my machine the 11 tooth spur that mates up with the spur gear on the main shaft has both longitudinal play along the shaft between the gear and the bearing and it has rotational play at the drive pin (the slot in the gear that catches the drive pin is bigger than than the drive pin which allows the gear to have slop between it and the drive pin.. The rotational play I am not overly concerned with (should I be??), but should I try to shim out the longitudinal play between the gear and the bearing? It is maybe 0.5mm of play.
Thanks!
