synergy e5 stretch
« on: March 20, 2015, 02:31:29 PM »
Hi guys
New to this site  :)

Im looking to purchase an e5, but want to build it as a stretch version so to take 606 rails.
Ive seen some posts on what items i would need to purchase to do this. But would rather have more expert opinions from yourselves.

I read that you cut the boom and tt down by 60mm ?
Can you use a N5C boom and tail control rod ?
As i can only get these parts from online in the UK
I can get the tt and boom supports

Thanks for your help in advance

Matt

Matt,

Here are the parts you need.  You can order these as a kit directly from Matt's website or you can order the individual parts from the sites you normally order from.  This is one kit for 606s and one for 626s.

Mine is stretched with 626 and I love it, since I put 106 tails I ended up putting and E7 tail fin on as well

Even better, try the N7 tail fin!  The E7 fin has a different mounting pattern (3 bolts vs 2), but the N7 uses the lightweight tail box (2 bolts) so it's a direct fit.

Hi all, Been flying a lot down here, must have about 200 flights on my e5 been flying just great, My question is if I stretch to run 606 blades, can I still 6s battery or would I have to change motor and go to 12s, hoping to do autos better with 606 blades. I just really enjoy flying  the e5. Also im looking for a good e7se for sale. Thanks Cliff

You can still run the motor you have, but your flight times will need to be adjusted accordingly.  I stretched mine and my flight times went way down.  I'm going to try a different motor and lipo combination to see how that works.

Thanks Grimmy  Let me know how you make out. Im not sure I want to fool with the e5 just flys so good at 2350 is its sweet spot ,time about 4 and half mins that 3.8 per cell I know I could push it a little more. Makes it easy to put batteries back to storage charge

Will do.  I'm waiting for some lipos to get in stock and then I'll change everything over.  I'm wanting to try 2x 4 cell packs, and probably around 2000 head speed.  I'll report back once I get everything and get it changed over.  :)
