New Washout Control Arms
« on: September 08, 2015, 01:23:53 PM »
I just recently lightly crashed my E5 and noticed that the Washout Control Arms (305-206) were slightly bent. When I tried to order them, I saw they were discontinued and replaced by 305-208. So I ordered the new ones and mounted them. Today I went out to testfly after the crash and to my surprise there was almost no lift in the machine. I had to hover with almost full pitch. I didn't measure the headspeed but it sounded ok. I haven't measured the pitch yet as I just came in the door here. What has happened here. Is it the new arms or do I have a gremlin in my electronics?

The updated pitch arms just have less material removed for weight savings to strengthen up the arms. There are no geometry changes.  I would double check the head setup in your electronics.

OK, thank you, then I know it is not the new washout arms. Everything moves freely. I have to do a thorough check here.
