E7SE and E5s
« on: July 22, 2015, 01:07:16 PM »
Finally got time to get to the field, as it's been about 6 weeks since I've been out.  I had a 2.5 week vacation in there, and when I got back, nothing but near 90s and 70%+ humidity.  Uggg!  But yesterday I finally was able to get to my club field and get some flights in and get back in the saddle of things.  Did a little messing around with head speeds on the E5s, but I need to go through that and get it setup, as I haven't done anything since stretching it with 626s and then I converted it to 8 cell and 890kv motor.  I did notice the E7SE has a tail holding issue on hard pitch pumps at 1950, so got a little more tweaking to do there.  I like that speed as it's a good balance of power and flight time.  Anyways, I was able to snap a pic, and thought I'd share.   8)

;D  I don't like waiting for batteries.  With the 2 electrics using different batteries, and different electronics packs, the 4 channels is a must.  There's a Meanwell 2kW power supply underneath powering everything.  It's enough I can charge at 2c.....I never go over that.  I'll dig up some pics of it when I get home.

Here's a better pic of the charging case, taken right after I got it done and did some testing on it.

It was a pretty fun project to do.  I've already got thoughts on another one, but will see how this one holds up through the rest of the year.  8)
