As stated in the title this is my first synergy. So far I like the heli, I did make a mistake on setup and it cost me dearly on the maiden so while wating on parts to get it back to flying. I figured I better run thru a few question some are gonna be basic.
First short history, I have flown nitro for about three years experience has all been with a trex 600n. On the os hyper 50, and 55. Both with muffler pressure. I fly on the spartan vortex use spectrum radio.
Now to the questions,
The bird in question is a N7, with Torq servos, BK tail all HV setup and vortex fbl, with an OS105 regulated motor.
First question: On my first flight I had an issue filling tank (not use to a regulated system) The pressure build up in tank from trying to fill caused a line to pop off and me to get the good old nitro bath. How do you guys plub your system so you can vent the tank when filling?
Second Question: What is your basic setup with rail 696 blades, (pitch, H,S). Im a newer to 3d sport flight and nats style has been the extent and still not a guy pushing supper hard. Just learning tic-toc, backward up right, still working on my inverted orientations. So basics.
Third Question: What is your normal maint routine I have a pretty good preflight or I thought I did till this bird but I have adjusted my method a little so that will no longer be an issue either. But over all Maint is more what I am interested in like say (every hundred flights check bearings or replace dampeners, keep an eye out for play on this part or that part) that kind of thing.
Fourth question: With a pressure/pump style system is a header tank a good or bad choice? I have always ran one on my ones with muffler pressure. Just not shure when using back plate pressure. Right now I currently do not have one installed just a lynx fuel magnet.
That is the main one for now sure there will be more in future.
