Look at this Jesus bolt!
« on: November 04, 2015, 07:34:11 PM »
This is the Jesus bolt in the one way hub and not a part I got from synergy. The bolt came from the hardware store  and the head of the bolt was turned down a little to fit nicer in the recess of the hub. I think the bolt has been in there for over a year site unseen.
It measures 10% smaller than it should be after wearing for a year.

What happened?
The manual states not to over tighten this bolt.
I don't think it was was it under tight at just being snug?
Was the bolt crap in the first place and Matt uses hardware that is a higher grade?
I've never seen a Jesus bolt ware like this.
Or the obvious, I took to much off the head of the bolt allowing to much play.

The vbar vibe logs on this Heli are perfect only sea grass.

It sure looks like it is undersize for the hole that it is going through.  It looks like it is rocking and spinning in the hole.  Did you check the shaft for wallowing and the hole in the hub for signs of wallowing.

That said I would replace the shaft, hub and the bolt with Synergy parts.

its funny how the one way sleeve and hub looks perfect, no ware at all. the bolt must have been vary soft compared to the auto hub and sleeve.

  the bolt is replaced
