Stretching my E5
« on: November 18, 2015, 02:11:32 PM »
Hello everyone

I have a standard E5 that I'm looking to stretch this winter. Currently have the castle edge 120HV ESC. I'm looking to stretch to 626mm rails and am curious as to what my best bet for motor is.

I see on Matt's low headspeed video that he's running the scorpion 4035-560kv motor, however he is running 606mm blades. Would this be a good choice for 626s as well? I'm looking at going with the 12s setup, but not sure what size yet. somewhere between the 3300-4000mah packs.

I know this has been talked about in the past but now that the E5 has been out for a few years I thought I'd get people's fresh thoughts on it.

Thanks!
Tom

Hello!

Yes the 4035-560 is a great choice for a 626 bird, that is exactly my same setup including the edge 120HV. The 4025-550 is also a good choice.

I run 3300-4000 packs, the 3300 and 3500 get about the same flight time as the 4000s because of the added weight.
