« on: February 05, 2016, 02:52:14 PM »
I am building an e5 stretch and I'm using an x nova 830 kv motor< the question is can I use the motor with shaft b option which seems to be a shorter shaft then the shaft a option which says normal shaft, the b shaft is designed for the goblin 570. cant seem to find option a  in stock anywhere.

I would recommend the standard shaft. The Goblin Shafts are shorter because they don't have a pinion support bearing. The Synergy Helicopters use an optimized helical cut pinion and main gear. The pinion support bearing is needed to help preserve the life of the motor bearings.  With out the pinion support bearing over time the downward forces of the helical cut could damage motor bearings and possibly pull the shaft loose on the motor can.

I will try to get you an answer on availability.  What cell count are you planning on running?

I will be running 1550,1650,1750, I just found the motor heli direct had one with the short shaft and they also had the a shaft in stock so I think I'm good to go. planning on running some 620 mains and 105 tailblades with the 1:4.9 tail ratio. also picked up a 13 tooth pinion which should get me where I need to be.
