Hi, anyone have any tips on removing the clunk line without destroying the fuel stop grommet?

Thanks,Vincent

I always have an extra grommet on hand , but with that said I just work it pressing down in the top until I see the back side (inside flange) and pry on that part with a blunt flat head .. Does not work all the time.hope this helps.

I use a rag and wrap around the nipple of the bung, then use a needle nose to work the bung out. the harder part is getting the grommet out without tearing it. simply use a small flathead, and take your time.

I do I like Mike.. But I use a small vise grip wrench.. Kinda good to keep an extra grommet tho.. I've not had a successful removal in regards to damaging the grommet.. lol

I damaged the grommet while trying to pull it out. I noticed that the hole is not cut nicely so used a fine rasp to fine it down. Did not pull the new grommet out yet, so not sure if it helps though.
