N5c build question
« on: June 14, 2016, 12:53:01 AM »
Well, i got my kit in and ive started on the build. I have a couple of questions, the most important is the tail pitch slider. It came assembled with the lock ring on it. After going through and redoing all the parts that came assembled, i doubt it is done correctly. So my question is, is there a good way to pull this lock washer off without destroying it?

My kit was missing the tiny 5mm shim in the tail grip so i have order a couple of parts anyway, i just wanna know if i need to pull this thing apart, loctite the bushing and stuff or if i can just clean it and epoxy the the end of the ring on and let it be.

Just dont want this thing to fall apart in flight lol

Thanks.

No the lock ring is fine.  You're good to go.

that is not the pitch slider he is talking about. he is talking about the standard one with the lock ring, not the metal one that you need to disassemble and locktight.

I have over 400 flights on my N5c with the lock ring with no issues whatsoever. The epoxy is not needed but if it makes you feel better just be easy on the application...just enough.
