Mine have never been. I typically use a 2200mah pack. On the N7 a 4000mah  balanced it out well.

I fly 2550ma on my n5c and it's prefect with the switch glow up front too.

On my n7, WITHOUT the canopy I use (2) 3600ma packs and it's perfect,  WITH the canopy (1) is perfect. Again, with the switch glow up front.

I use a 3600 pack in my N5c, a 5000 pack in my n7. Perfect balance in both choppers.

For me I never had an issue, back in the early days of the N5c belt through the Torque tube version I ran TP 1900 Mah. Now days I run a 2200 only because my trusty 1900 was retired.  I run an E7SE tail box on my N7 and run a 5000mah Rx batt to offset CG on it.

The key to getting the CG right is getting the right battery. The N7 was designed around the Thunder Power 3800 RX pack Its a relatively square so it keeps the weight right at the very front of the heli. The N5c is a little more forgiving because you can easily move the battery further forward if you need to. I always ran a 2200 MAh pack on my N5c and it balanced nicely.
