Collecting the Pieces Parts.
« on: March 02, 2018, 01:16:03 AM »
I am collecting the stuff needed to build the 566 when it is released.  My motor came today and I bought the NEO at the Vegas Fun Fly.  Expert HV servos when it gets closer to release date.  Rail blades for main and tail.

What pipe is recommended for the 0S55 HZ-R?  Is Cool Power 30% ok to run thru this motor?

I will put a Switch-Glo Pro on it for ignition.

You are on the right track Rog!

Cool power is excellent fuel. And 30% is ideal for the 55. I have ran the SAB-55 hatori, powerboost II, and the hatori SAB-1. The hatori are the better option and amain did show the SAB-1 in stock last I looked. But the power boost is what Matt is running and it’s a fine pipe too.

I'm not sure if Funtech are still making mufflers for the 55, but a few years back when I was running a 50 size machine it was a nice option as well.  Produced good power and had a pleasant sound to boot.

I have a Funtech on my N5C and I just got a brand new one for my N556. It has a mounting setup similar to the big Hatori pipes.

It was pretty inexpensive and I went with it because I've been happy with my older one and I'm planning on replacing it with a Protune when it comes out.

I ordered a Hatori HA-2060 pipe from RCJapan.  It ships on the 12th.  This is the first time I have placed an order with them.  It will be interesting to see how long it takes to get here.

I also ordered the Switch-Glo Pro.

I have a set of blades in my spare parts locker.

The pipe and SwitchGlo Pro arrived.  I have a set of servos with the exception of a throttle servo.  I also need a battery for a flight pack.

What is the main and tail grip thickness on the N556? I don't yet have the kit but gathering parts. I'd like to use zeal blades but unsure if I'd need shims or not.
