Blade links
« on: July 27, 2019, 07:51:10 PM »
Hi everyone,

I’ve been using the FBLRotors turnbuckles and links for a few years now.

They’ve always been smooth links but now have slight lateral movement on all of them. It’s very minuscule but there none the less.

There’s no way I can pop them off by hand, but I’m concerned the lateral movement will get bigger and eventually one will pop.

I’ve noticed that FBLRotors isn’t running anymore?

Can I use the standard plastic links that come in the kit?

Or do I need to make life easy and buy the synergy turnbuckles and use stock links?

Thanks

Greg

Here is another thread that is related to this.

https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=836645

If you cannot find someone that has FBL Rotors plastic links squirreled away, your best solution is probably to use the stock 48mm threaded rods or 43mm turnbuckles with Synergy ball links.  Also, one of the posters in the above thread mentioned drilling out Synergy ball links for use with the larger threaded turnbuckles.

I hesitate to mention it, but I use old M2.5x48mm SAB 630/700 Goblin turnbuckles, that have unfortunately been discontinued.  But these turnbuckles can be salvaged from old SAB Goblins and swapped with newer SAB replacements.

Thanks for the reply!

Will check out the thread and worse case scenario, grab some synergy turnbuckles and use the stock links!
