ESC & Motor

I am using a Hacker A50-10L 580KV and CC ICE 2 HV 120 ESC

What connectors should I use for the motor to esc? Also, are you all zip tieing or using double sticky tape to secure the esc to its mounting plate?

Finally I have never used a BEC is there video to show how to solder the bec to the esc?

I use the EC5 bullet connectors for the motor and ESC. Zip tieing the ESC to the mounting plate is fine but I also use Velcro just so the ESC does shift in flight.
I'm not sure their a video on how to solder the BEC and ESC, maybe some other forum member will be able to post this information.

Good call steffgiguere!! I never thought of using the EC5 connectors for the motor wires to ESC wires. I take it this means youare using an EC5 connector for you battery too?

If I have it correct.... I will twist the + ESC Battery wire with the + BEC wire tin the end and solder it into the EC5 Connector. And do the same for the neg....

I have the same Motor & ESC in my E6, on the battery input into the ESC i am using the EC5 connectors and on the ESC connection with the motor i am using 5.5mm Castle Bullet Connectors.

To secure the ESC to the carbon plate i use  sticky velcro so that it secures the ESC but also allows it some movement and it can be removed easily if needed. I also use a small velcro strap around the ESC and carbon plate to secure.

One other thing, I also use a EC3 connector between the wires from the battery to the BEC, therefore if I need to change the ESC or the BEC I don't need to unsolder the battery connector to separate the ESC and the BEC. Is the explanation clear?

+1 on what Ross said... 5.5mm Castle bullets from ESC to motor and EC5 from battery to ESC.

5.5mm is overkill really 4mm is fine , i use ec5's on battery to esc
