Battery mounting
« on: December 22, 2019, 11:47:12 AM »
Played with this a bit today and some Qs for the fellow helpful owners.

Trying with the provided blue synergy velcro straps, with 6S 4500mah RoaringTop batts - did you have to mount long ways or did side ways work?  Please share pics of your batt mounted with the velcro.  Also have a Scorpion 4500 batt.

Did you use the provide synergy straps?

Did you apply velcro to the batt tray only in the middle to help keep the batts from moving?  Not much other space to apply velcro.

Wrap the battery long ways. It won’t grab on the frame when sliding in and out. Also it will be completely secure on the heli. Don’t need to Velcro the tray if you wrap it long ways

The only packs I’ve used that could be strapped on the sides are the 4500 pulse.
Most will need to strap lengthwise. Higher C rated packs especially.

The picture says it.
Thats a gens ace 4400 6S 60c pack and Xtreme racing 18" strap.
Theres velcro in there full length, with cutouts to match the tray. A bit of extra security and backup if the strap fails.

Here's mine. 2 Synergy straps per battery and velcro. Also a spacer because they are too wide and were hitting the slider rails. GensAce 5000mAh 45C
