Xnova and Mikado Vcontrol settings
« on: December 31, 2019, 09:19:17 PM »
About to maiden my 516 but I have a couple of last questions.

1. The Tribunus ESC slave cable should be plugged into the RPM port on the Vbar receiver?
2. What motor poles do I select in the radio? There's 4 pole pairs-8 poles and then there's 8 pole pairs, 16 poles. I could not find the info on this motor.
3. On the gear ratio, do I just input 10.06 for the ratio?
4. On the ESC app, do I use VBAR governor mode or gov with recalc values?

Again, I'm sorry for all the questions..Just getting back into it and switching over to VBAR

From other posts you're using an xnova 4020-1350? They're an 8 pole motor.

I'm not familiar with tribunus setup, but won't the vcontrol esc setup wizard do that for you?
Good luck with the maiden

Yes sir. The 4020-1350. No the esc wizard is just a menu screen on the radio. Tried to fly it but the head speed won’t change at all and barely had enough power to lift off.

In the vcontrol radio, if you've setup the heli to use the vbar governor you would enter your desired headspeed for each bank, if external gov then you set throttle values to achieve the target headspeed for each bank.

There is integration available between vcontrol and the tribunus esc, its likely very useful may help you get it setup. I'd suggest looking at links available on the vstabi website.
