I planted my N5c HARD! Nose down at about 30' and slightly on the muffler side. I broke both frames completely in half, broke the servo tray in half, tore off the muffler, bent the main shaft and broke every servo horn. The boom is straight, but the support clamp slid forward enough to bow one support and break the other.
Surprisingly the main gear and tail assy are un-scathed. Clutch is wasted though as the battery disconnected before I could kill it.
I'm going to re-kit it.
It was also completely pilot error- absolutely nothing to do with the heli. BTW- the frames did break right where I figured they would, which is the narrow spot by the servo tray. Not complaining as all that energy has to go somewhere and I doubt anything else on the market would have faired any better. Just a bummer that I now have to put off my e6/E7 a little longer.
