Tail control rod conflicts with mid needle on 55HZ
« on: May 16, 2012, 02:02:11 PM »
Good afternoon, just finished the build and am ready to get my newest bird in the air.  Has anyone had an issue with the tail control rod from the servo to the pivot arm contacting the mid needle valve on the OS 55HZ?   When I use the arm length required to get proper tail throw, the rod hits the needle valve and actually cannot be used that way.  I have temporarily put the older size carburetor with one needle valve on to prevent this.  I would rather have the newer carb on this bird though with the added adjustment.  Thanks, and fly safe.

Hey Rich

All you need to do it on the move the ball on the pivot arm from the bottom side to the top side.

You will love that N5c

It's in the side note on page 47. sounds great the only problem is that most of those girls don’t fly any more.  ;D They are always at Zolen’s racetrack.

Depending on your servo arm, you could still get some rubbing. You can rotate the carb slightly (needles down, linkage up) to gain a little more clearance.

Thanks for this, I'll give this a shot as mine is still rubbing using the ball link on top.
