Alrighty, I've added a Hayes 2oz header tank. I used some double sided industrial foam tape to secure the header tank to the main tank, as there aren't really any options for adding a mounting bracket. It will be a few days before I actually get to try it out, and I'll report back when I do!

Looks Clean No Doubt, However keep in mind that if the gets fuel soaked or as the tank expands and contracts do to crank case preasure based on the engine your running. Also something to think about, If you were inverted and that little guy came off it's going through the Blades. Not saying all these will happen just thinking outside the box. There are a couple of options and Mods and if interested I would be more than willing to chat on the Phone to better explain.  Nice Build!! You are gonna love this Bird!! ;)

Thanks Kevin, I already love it!

Just trying to keep things simple for now. I'm not worried about the tank expanding/contracting as this is not a pressurized fuel system. The only pressure the tank gets is from the muffler, which isn't enough to expand the fuel tank significantly. I'll be checking it before each flight, as soon as I see any problems I will deal with them.

I'm off to go fly it this morning, I'll let you know how it goes.

Got several flights on it today, and the header tank helped out a lot. I'm now getting consistent runs on the engine from start to finish, so now I can just have fun with it! I plan to keep an eye on the foam tape, any signs of it starting to give and it will be replaced.

OK, so I took a break after my tip over, it freaked me out a bit and I decided to burn a couple gallons of fuel through my old Raptor 50 and work on some basic skills but with the Heli Blowout coming up there was no way I was not going to be taking and flying my new Synergy there so yesterday and today I flew several tankfulls and she is solid as a rock even in some wind, I love this machine! I am totally ready to shelve the Raptor now! Hope to see many of you in Orlando in a few days!:)

Bob,

Glad to hear you are enjoying the N5c. We had a windy weekend here also. Makes for great auto practice!  See you in Orlando!

Cheers

A couple of photos from OHB. I can proudly say that my N5c was the first model in the USA to be flown with the new Futaba 14SG! Woot!

I gotta get an N5c! I love nitro!

Chris, is that 14SG software (radio menus) the exact same as an 8FG? Aside from the telemetry stuff?

For the most part it's the same. There are a few new menus, but the majority is the same as the 8FG.
