OK So I just found out the CGY RPM sensor I thought was coming with my kit, was not included after all.  I need to order a sensor. The Align sensor would be cool as it is a direct fit no adapter needed for the brain. Will the align sensor mount to the N5c frame? I am sorry if this is a stupid question, my first nitro and all.

Looks like the Align sensor should fit the bracket just fine.

I have an align sensor I was given but I was also recommended a spektrum back plate sensor. I guess we shall see how the back plate sensor does first.

Ok USPS is beginning to wear on me.  The tracking on my N5c hasn't updated in 4 days and they can't tell me anything. They won't even open a ticket until its 30days past the expected delivery date which was this past Monday;(

That sucks. I've always been lucky enough to have good results with USPS tracking and delivery. Only one time did it say it arrived at a sort facility in Columbus but was delivered and never updated to being out for delivery. Hope you get it soon!

Alright, well it's hear and in great shape! I am so glad you can trust some people to advertise things as they really are.

Only thing I have found out of place is the main shaft has a minor bend, but he included a new shaft, so I am good.

So far I have torn it down to basically a bare frame. I took the belcranks and shafts off. Checked the bearings, one ways, and clutch liner.

The motor and clutch are brand new. Tomorrow I will begin prepping the motor and mounting it. As expected, the quality of the parts is great and this heli is in great shape. If I didn't know better I would think it was new.  I hope I can keep it looking that way  :o

Nice! Glad you got it and all is well. Let us know how the maiden goes as I'm sure you'll have it up sooner than later. Although the weather around here has been sucking.

Ok I have a question and a possible problem.

My brand new OS 55HZ-R has a strange "hole" in the back plate presumably for the backplate sensor.

Trouble I have is the spektrum backplate sensor doesn't fit. It's not round and is too wide.

Do I have to use a Futaba backplate sensor with this motor?

Another note. My MSH Brain is DOA from the factory. Won't bind or update firmware. I looked around the MSH forums and this isn't a new issue. Thinking of going back to my Vbar plan after reading some of the problems on the forums.

Man that sucks. I'd slap the Vbar on there for now and work on getting a refund or replacement unit from MSH so you're not out of one or the other.

As far as the backplate goes it does fit the Futaba backplate sensor perfectly. What's weird is mine doesn't have that bracket so I got all excited to install the sensor on mine and found I couldn't do it. It's the 55 hyper but the non-regulated version. I thought all 55's had the bracket. I believe you'd have to either get a different backplate or go with the Futaba sensor as mounting the Spektrum sensor on the higher side wouldn't be close enough to the con-rod if I had to guess.
