Well the heli is done. Governor is programmed. All that is left to do is to fire it up. Hopefully the weather will give me a break. With the hurricane pushing and a lot of weather headed our way. Might be next weekend.

Well congrats! Now that break in procedure for the new motor will just be causing you to itch to get it going. I have been know to idle a tank or two in my garage when weather won't let you fly. =P

Good luck Chris. Up won't need luck though.  You setup should be pretty bullet proof!

Three tanks in now. 1 idle, 1 hover, and 1 mostly hover and some slow circuits. Nothing loading the head at all.

Runs great and flies so smooth!

A couple more break in flights and I will start leaning it out just a touch. It's not overly rich right now.

Thanks for all of the information and encouragement!

Just got back from another round at the fairgrounds. Wife must have needed some alone time because she actually asked me if I wanted to go back out before dark!

Total of 8 tanks and 3 recharged rx packs. Running well. Going to lean it out a bit tomorrow. It seems to have power but bog hard when it comes off idle and bail out stalls it.

Don't know why I avoided nitro for so long, I am liking it thus far!

I'd say it's time to start leaning that bad boy out and making it sing!

Hmm 8 tanks was a typo, at 6, but either way todays flights are to lean it a touch and see how it does!

Good luck Chris!  I know the leaning out part can be almost nerve racking for those of us not fluent in Nitro :-)

I'm lucky in that regard, I fly with Will and he can tune an engine like nobody's business.  I call him the engine whisperer...I mean, he made a nova Rossi sing...and stay running :)

Will Campbell? Yes you are very fortunate.  I'd travel to TX to have him bless my engine :-)
Say hi for me.

Yes Mr. Campbell, he turned me on to Synergy and nitro in general.  He does a great job exorcising the gremlins out of motors lol.
