Hey guys, i have a question for anyone running a hacker 470kv. Can you tell me if there is more than 1 shim between your c-clip and front of motor housing? i noticed a strange sound during my maiden flight. i found that my motor has some vertical slop in it, the two halves of the motor will move a few mm up and down. i included some pics to highlight was i see. my plan is to find another shim for under the c-clip to tighten it up. What do you guys think?

It's possible the can setscrew is not tight enough, allowing it to move out a bit, creating the slop. Check it and make sure it's Loctited and well torqued. You can press the shaft back in a tiny amount to remove the slop, then tighten setscrew-s.

Ah. you were right, i am shocked at how loose the set screws were! the shaft had in fact moved a small amount away from the can. I should have picked up on that from the beginning. Thanks for your reply!
