there are of issues that have caused Avant alot of Heartache. It is a great flying machine, Unfortunately the Owner is a bit on the cocky side and lets just say "hasn't made good on alot of debts" He basically ran out of Machine Shops over seas who were willing to work with him anymore due to not paying the shops for services rendered. He alone has screwed himself out of a good thing. Look at the Rigid Core FBL HEAD, Hell my buddy Marcus Kim was flying that in the middle of 2010. When did that finally come out? lol. And better yet (When you most Senior Avant Pilot cannot even get parts,) Why do you think he jumped to Align. The Best thing I ever did was sell my Avants, And quite frankly the N9 when Set up with all the Upgrades, was the best flying 700 series hands down.. I don't do Egos very well and I refuse to support anyone with one!! It was an easy decision when the opportunity came along to be a part of the Best thing in Town. I have sat at the dinner table with a few reps of the other manufactures in 2010 listening to them talk about Synergy and how they didn't think Synergy much less Matt had enough to bring it back as a contender much less have staying power and be viable.. Well I have to say I still talk to these guys and they are friends of mine and Boy do they sing a different tune... Great Stuff!!! In closing you are absolutely correct in Matt keeping things very close to his chest!!! The Guy is Smart like that!! He knows better than anyone, the Game as well as the rules at which the others play by. Understand this, There is always a Method to the Madness in which he does things, And i have found myself chomping at the bit wondering when the next Best thing was going to drop. And as time went on understood why he is so tight lipped. I was lucky to see the first drawing of the E5 New Years Eve night last year( I guess my Military Top Secret Clearance Helped Out)
, Matt had just finished the renditions. I also had the pleasure of seeing it fly first, At my field, Our club members never put 2 and 2 together to realize that he was flying the prototypes of the new helis he designed. The N5c,E6 soon stretched to the E7, and then the E5. And Yes alot of time passed until pre-production as well as production kits came out, and what I have learned through the Births of the N5c/E6/E7/Rail Blades and the long overdue E5 is that He isn't going to drop anything unless it is "PERFECT". His Idea of perfect and Our idea of perfect are worlds apart. He would wait forever to come out with a kit before he would sacrifice Quality!! And that is the difference between him and what makes Synergy and Rail Blades Simply Choice! And like the old saying goes, "Good Things come to those who wait PATIENTLY" !
And Kevin M, it's excitement like yours and ours that keeps those wheels spinning in his head that keeps him coming up with the next best thing the industry has seen. And No you didn't open a can of Worms, That is the beauty of this forum... We can talk in confidence.
Best Regards,
Kevin
