106-501 Shims
« on: January 29, 2013, 09:13:07 AM »
Had some issues during assembly and damaged one of the 106-501 shims on my E5.   I tried to rescue the shim, but it was damaged enough that it does not allow any outward play on one of the tail blade grips.

I know the outward play is necessary to prevent binding of the thrust bearing.

It is complicated by the fact I am in Germany, and the cost for a 1 dollar part is pretty expensive from the states.   The UK and Swiss distributor do not have this part in stock.   Anyone use anything else or have a suggestion.

Thanks
E

Hey

If that is the 5mm shim between the thrust and radial bearings, pm your address and I will post you one!
