Just seeing what you guys are running for pitch.  I just upped mine from a hair under 12 to a little over 12.5.  Also changed my head speed from 2300 to 2400.  Now I really have the pop I wanted while still using a 12t pinion.  I am watching my motor/esc temps though.  I little warmer after 2 batteries but not much.  Tic tocs seem much better now and flips are even more precise.  For me that will be the magic number. 
Also, anyone realize on RealFlight that the Synergy helis are nice, but the TT G4 or E720 are ridiculously responsive?  I have upped settings on the sim E6 but still the TT heli is crazy powerful.  Hopefully there will be an E5 on the sim soon and it will be a workhorse.  Hate using another heli in the sim then what I really fly but practice is practice.  About to get on the sim now while charging batteries.  everything is set for V-day tonight so I have some time now before my wife finishes later tonight.

1100 kv motor, 12T pinion, Castle governor - I can't really get much over 2300 rpm.  How did you get 2400 on that setup?

Rich told me that Matt said the castle gov works best when its over the 100% threshold.  I tested it out and it works fine.

I've heard the same thing but clearly that only goes so far.  For example, if you tried to run 200% I don't think you would have any success.  The number I heard was up to 107% and at 2400 you are over 108%.  I guess if it's working for you, I would run it, however, maybe a 13T would be better suited for your flying.

Yes. Matt helped me with that when I put the 12t pinioned in the E7. Of course I got the warning on the gov but Matt said go for it. Works great and if I remember correctly we were at about 105%
