We will have to do that. There will be a LOT of blue there this year I feel. The flight line was fairly invaded last year and if that's a sign, it'll be even better.

The only thing I could imagine hindering things for attendance in general, it would be the time frame change.

You'll be fine. The action really picks up Friday/Saturday. Last year and then this year I will arrive on Wednesday. It's nice to get there, casually check out vendors, maybe fly on those days then just kick back & relax Friday and Saturday.

Lots of people do some grilling at IRCHA, just be careful with it like you would anywhere else of course.

I leave my easy up in place all week. Just at nights I take the top off because the nights can bring some storms with them and you don't want to come back to a ripped canopy or worse an E-Z Up that damaged someone else's property.

Picked up the ez up today! So when it comes to where you put your generator.
We have a 100' cord can you get it that far away? The guy I'm going with has a generator already don't think it's the quietest one. How's the lay out go?

I use a Honda which is very quiet. At IRCHA you should be able to back your vehicle up fairly close to your canopy. Generally a pathway is left between the vehicles and the rows of tents for a walkway and golf cart use. I placed my Gen at the rear of my truck running the extension cord to my canopy. It's a much of a courtesy to others fumes wise as a noise issue.
You will get a feel for your best option once you get there. I encourage you to get to know your tent neighbors. Extra sets of eyes around you can come in handy plus getting to know everyone is half the fun.  Last year was my first and I enjoyed it immensely.

Save the BrewHAHA till after, Saturday is when the fun begins.. Last year Matt and Nick drew the biggest crowd with there Dusk Flight.. Synergy brought the house down... great times.. Also don't mix Beer and Ice Cream! I'll explain later... Ask Brandon Wheaton. lol
