Repair or Replace
« on: May 14, 2013, 07:23:51 AM »
Yesterday I had a mishap  on my Rush 750.  A screw holding my boom supports backed out and my Rail 696 blades ate it.  nom nom. :)

The damage goes all the way into the foam core and is pretty soft in the area.

Anyways, should I replace this blade or is it repairable?

Sorry to hear about that.
I would say replace. The integrety of the blade i compromised.  I would not feel comfortable flying them repaired.

Cheers

A chip with some CA is one thing but that's too far for my comfort. A good pitch pump could shred that in half I think.

The 700 size already has enough pucker factor to it without having to worry about a blade breaking off in mid-flight. Time to order a new set.  Thanks for the opinions!

That happened to some one next to us at IRCHA. Is it common to have a tail boom support get into the blades? I noticed one of my ends was loose after my last crash.
