Did my first autorotation today! Got it on the ground softly and tipped over on its side. Popped a link. Spooky!😁

I think I came down to slow. Ran out of head speed. It was a rush! My thought was to try it at the end of the season so if I killed it I would have to rush it back together.

Crazy! When do you hit throttle hold with a dismount auto? Sounds like the power is on right till the end? Or is that just the overspeed?

Yep, hit throttle hold upstairs just like a normal auto.  Only difference is you descend as fast as possible to provide extra headspeed during the flare.

I remember Matt doing a version of these with his N5C at a fun fly in Cincinnati two years ago.  He would come down nose first vertically just screaming and then would kill the engine and pop the machine over in a mini loop for a landing.  Was wild.......
