A quick update on the pole settings in the cgy 750, it doesn't work. The rpm will rise until mid stick then start to die off above mid stick. Out of curiosity I changed the poles to 4 in the unit and got into a good hover, went into idle 1 and it started to die off again. My theory is that the pole setting are to enable the gov mode for electrics. The pole count goes in increments of 2 from 2 to 20. Anyway I have successfully removed the magnet and will re install the proper way.

Yeah I wondered about that.  The electric GOV part was added on a subsequent update.  The manual use to indicat that one magnet would need to be reversed.  I haven't tried the electric GOV but what you are saying makes sense.  I will have to do some research on that!

The easiest way for nitro Gov. is just to make sure you install the magnets with opposite poles. Most sensors want it this way and I have never had an issue with this.

Never used the electric Gov on a CGY 750... But I am sure it works the same as the VBar gov where it's looking for half the number of motor poles when using Spektrum / Hyperion etc. phase sensors. Some phase sensors might require a full pole count, however I have not experienced this.

Cheers,
Mark

So I flipped the magnet over put back in and I still get the same reading as the other magnet. Really getting frustrated!!!!

What sensor are you using? I might have missed this in an earlier post.

What number are you getting on the display for each magnet?  Example 98%....

Hummm...  You are 100% sure you did flip the magnet?
I have set up three CGY750's on Nitro and have never had that happen.  I guess you could have a bad sensor? Are the magnets the stock futaba ones?  If you can pop them both loose again I would suggest you dismount the sensor and try them off the clutch bell with the sensor.  Other these  suggestions I am baffled.

I am leaning towards a bad sensor myself Alan. I am all Vbar and not familiar with the Futaba... But it does sound like sensor if the magnets are correct.

What should the reading on the sensor be for the one that's upside down. I have it whittled down to 29%, with 96% on the other magnet. Will this be acceptable?

Yes that should work. The cutoff is in the 90% plus range I believe. Anything less isn't recognized.

Actually I just checked. Anything less than 60% is not counted..
