I checked the voltage on the battery that flew well, then the battery that caused me to have to order another landing skid.  The voltage was so low on there that it was beeping.  So apparently I made a mistake I never make and forgot to charge that battery.  I need to get some training on autos though.

Glad you got it figured out.  This is good news in that there is nothing wrong with your heli.  I also check my battery after I have it mounted in the heli and right before I plug it up for flight to make sure I didn't grab a discharged pack.

If you run into any problems when you program up your iKon, shoot me a pm and I can get most any answers you need.  We don't run separate receivers here, but my iKon friend knows the system pretty well so I'm confident we can help you work through it.

Yeah, finally found my voltage checker AFTER I had the discharged battery!

Man you are still really thinking about getting that radio.  Be careful, I kept thinking about getting a new radio, but said I wouldn't order it until the fall.  It arrived last week.   :P

This is at the hobby shop right?! SURELY that is not at home meaning you brought home something to mess with for the weekend  ;D  As if I can say anything lol.
So will you have to change out all receivers now Alan?

No this arrived today via FedEx :-)
I ordered one receiver to start with. So far I am impressed. Not as heavy as I though it would be. Which is a good thing. Balances really well with the included neck strap.
Opened up the case to adjust the gimbals and Wow! What a piece of engineering. Hard to find much plastic in this at all.  Lots of nicely machined aluminum parts. Gimbals were very easy to adjust. I didn't need to move any switches as the stock setup is perfect for Heli use.  These gimbals are amazingly smooth.
Haven't really looked at the manual yet and I was able to set throttle curves and the condition switch with no problems. Relatively intuitive.
I ordered one telemetry sensor to hook up on my E7 with the Castle Edge 160.  It will give me both receiver voltage, main pack voltage, amps used and amp draw.  If you use the Jeti ESC all of that is built in.

Cheers
Alan

Nice Alan! Definitely looking forward to your feedback on the TX once you have had some time to play with it a bit.

Well that was actually pretty painless. Took out the futaba SBus receiver from the E6. Connected the single signal wire from the Helicommand to the Ppm output on the Jeti receiver. Changed the input type on the HC to PPM.  Adjusted some endpoints and reversed a couple of channels in the radio.  Set up the mix for bailout.  Done!

Test flight tomorrow.

HMMM, if only I had an easy time doing a set up like the one Alan just had.  Instead, mine took forever!  I'm still nervous about plugging in the BEC though, but might as well find out what happens.

I am running a Ds-16 also and freaking love it. I was reading through the thread and saw Alan was wanting to try before he buys. I was just about to offer him a chance to try mine at IRCHA, but i guess that isn't needed now. You should really try the Mezon ESCs Alan. You will be super impressed with both the ESC itself and the telemetry to the Ds-16. I have a Mezon on my Goblin and Diabolo and plan on swapping everything in the fleet over. Jeti is doing big things and this is just the beginning. If they start dropping some budget transmitters then I could see them becoming one of the top 3. The build quality and programming of their transmitters is just unreal. I have not been able to find a single thing that they can't do. Anyone who is on the fence should jump on it. You WILL NOT be disappointed!
