I am working on my second E5 kit. Same issue as last time with the feathering shaft bolts being too tight. With the first kit, I only removed one bolt and gave up on the other bolt. However, after going through that ordeal, I just put everything back together intact after full inspection, as all thrust and radial bearings were assembled properly at the factory. With the grease port design, one can make an argument that it is not necessary to remove the thrust bearings solely for the purpose of greasing.
Questions:
1) Have anyone found the thrust bearing oriented incorrectly from the factory in the E5 kit?
2) What test(s) can I perform to verify correct or incorrect thrust bearing orientation without directly inspecting the thrust bearings?
