Who all started buying parts for theirs?

I know Matt hasn't announced a release date and, to be honest, I don't care when it's released.  I just know I want one so I started putting my parts together. I ordered an OS 105HZ-R and Hatori pipe, switchglo pro, and Futaba R7008SB.  I also bought 4X BLS255HV and one BLS256HV servos.  I already had a CGY-750 for it but I went ahead and gave that to Kevin Feil, LOL.

Oh yes. They started rolling in. Still need another Bavarian Demon 3SX, GY701 governor which are hard to find now, one more BLS255 and the 696/106 Rails.

Have you ever looked at a Multigov Pro?  Very easy to set up. You do need the programmer which is a one time purchase. I use one on my N5C. Very easy to set up and works well. I just ordered another for an N9 I am putting together :-)
They run $105 with the programmer and $80 without.

Where are they discontinued at? I just got mine in today & see them elsewhere as well. EDIT* wow I just went to tower hobbies and saw it says discontinued. I JUST bought mine Monday and got them today no problem.

Alan: I never did consider those but now you're making me think about it. I ask these questions about it: 1) Can I use the backplate sensors with it or just magnets? 2) By using the programmer, is it as simple as just setting my target head speeds per mode and BAM it's done? Meaning is it easier to set up than a Futaba governor?

I am not sure abut a backplate sensor. The multigov will no accept input from a futaba sensor. The signal is opposite of what it expects to see.
You can configure it two ways. Using a throttle curve or using a second channel to select the desired speeds. I have only used the second channel option. This would be similar to the 701...
You can download the multigov manual from their website and take a peak.

The multi gov is easy and works really well. You can use it as a gov or a rev limiter.

As far as back plate sensors you can use the spectrum sensor with out any problems or modifications

I ordered most of the rest of my stuff today. I ended up buying RJX HV servos. I bought a new CGY-750. Tower hobbies is carrying a new version now that doesn't include the magnetic rpm sensor, and costs a little less, which is great because I wanted to use the backplate rpm sensor.

I can't believe I'm obsessing this bad about a kit that I have no idea when I'll actually be able to buy, lol.

I may end up with the rjx servos too. I really want to try the 255 256 futaba combo but so hard to pay 170 per servo when the rjx have proven to be great servos at 90 each.

I have decided to give up on my savox servos. I think matt is right and poor centering is causing some of my fff issues.

I am with you on the Savox.
I picked up a set of MKS HV's at IRCHA to put in an E5. If those do well I may go that route.
Has anyone tried the BLS171HV on cyclic. Might be an alternative to BLS255HV since they are discontinued. Those I can get for $135 each.

Have you considered the Torq servos Alan? Specifically the 9180 / 9188.
Made by MKS and excellent specs. Rated for 8.4v. They have been excellent.
