Gone are the days when the kit was the most expensive piece!  Just left LHS with CGY750, R6203SB, 3 BLS157HV, and 1 BLS256HV!  You do the math,  ouch!
I told my parents I wanted to be a pilot when I grew up; they said I could'nt do both...

Just in case anybody reading this thread is considering Torq 8190 servos for cyclic, be aware of the following (my personal experience mounting these in my E7)

- The servos a pretty deep/tall.  I had to use the rubber grommets/eyelets to space them out a bit, and they still touch each other.  Having some additional thin carbon/metal spacers would be helpful.

- Attaching the supplied carbon arms to servo wheels as indicated in the instruction manual will cause the bolt heads to rub on the servo top casing (just barely, but they do touch).  I ended up reversing the bolt direction (the supplied nuts are shallower than the bolt heads) and I shimmed/spaced the horn out from the splines.

Hi Zaaaguy

Hope your build/flight tests are going well.

I see you have a set of edge blades which you will be using until the rails are available.  I am building an E7 right now and got edge blades myself from the dealer who sold me the heli.  Would be interested to hear your opinions on the difference in performance.  May have to rush out and get some myself when available in the UK

kind regards
Andy

JR DS8917HV 17.5Kg/0.06s High Voltage Servo.  Think this may fit the spec for cyclic?

They would be perfect.

I have a set of BLS451's that I am going to use. Are these okay or am I going to have to buy new servos? I was going to run them on either a life pack or on a bec at around 7v.

Thanks,
Craig.

Exactly what I am putting on the cyclic of my new E7 and matching it to a SAVOX 2272sg HV on the tail.

I hear mixed things about SAVOX servos but I have had nothing but good luck with them and running HV all the way around is so much more efficient than dealing with a separate regulator or step down for the tail.

SAVOX 2272sg HV Stats:
Dimensions(mm): 40.3x20.2x38.5
Weight(g): 66.0
Speed(@4.8V sec/60): .055
Torque(@4.8V oz-in): 41.7
Speed(@6.0V sec/60): .045
Torque(@6.0V oz-in): 69.4
Speed(@7.4V sec/60): .032
Torque(@7.4V oz-in): 97.2
Gear: Metal
Bearing: 2BB
Case: Full Aluminum
25 Tooth Spline

Not the torquest of tails but I don't beat on my birds I am a smooth Sport VERY MILD 3D flyer. I can see where the Futaba Torque figures would be nice for someone really throwing their E7 around.
