Yes, and you can select which sensor slot you want it in.  It was $50, which is cheaper than most of the other sensors I've bought.

Yes that is cool... You would think Futaba would have already worked this one out. That's one thing I have noticed. Futaba has been very slow about releasing sensors. There is also a product called jlog that will act as an interface between some esc's and most telemetry capable receivers including futaba (and Jeti). Will post the link for that. I am using one between the Kosmic and Jeti receiver.

Well, I had made up my mind to move to Futaba and go with the 14SG.
But now I'm not sure since it seems that the protocol required to use sbus and telemetry does not work with the Skookum fbl units, which is on all my helicopters. At least that is what I am reading in the forums.
And going sbus was the predominant reason for the switch. Now telemetry is not absolutely a necessity, but I sure have grown accustomed to flying with it and not so much on a timer.

So I guess I'll just have to stick with what I have for now

Telemetry is a function of the rx. Sbus to Skookum and 14ch fastest mode in the rx and tx should work just fine. This is the first I have heard anyone complaining about sbus and telemetry not working.

What I read in various forum threads is that the Skookum does not recognize the sbus when the Rx is set to Fastest 14ch but works fine with Fastest 12ch.
And you need Fastest 14 to use telemetry.

I have two SK540s but I can't remember, off the top of my head, which receivers I'm running in them.  Do you have any links to the threads discussing it?  I could do some testing on mine to see if I see the same thing but I'd like to read through what's out there, already.

I'll take a look at my setups tonight and see what receivers I'm using.  If those posts are true, the mAh sensor I bought to use with my electrics isn't going to do me any good.  There was one guy in that thread, though, using a 7008SB and said it worked.  I have two of those but they're on both of my nitro helis.

What types of telemetry sensors are you planning on using?

I would be happy with only the flight pack voltage using the External Voltage Cable or possibly an sbus2 sensor.
Though I would indeed eventually like to have that sbus2 mah sensor from our European friend.

The 14SG manual, page 32, clearly states that telemetry works only when using FASSTest 14CH mode.
Edit: Manual continues to say: (12CH mode displays only Receiver battery voltage and Extra battery voltage.)
This would work for me.

Forum post complaints have been that the Skookum does not recognize the sbus connection when FASSTest 14CH is used but works when using FASSTest 12CH.

So I guess if FASSTest 14CH does not work with SKs it just means that I can not use sbus2 sensors.

I have one SK720 which would require the sbus adapter from Skookum, and three SK540s.
I like my Skookums and do not wish to replace them because of this type of problem.

Thanks for your help Rodney much apperciated

After looking it turns out that I'm running R6303 receivers on both of my electrics.  They are a FASST Sbus1 receiver so they obviously don't have telemetry.  It will take me some swapping to try out one of the R7008SB receivers because they're installed on my nitro helis.  From the sounds of all the posts I read today, though, it's not very promising.

I just got word back from Art at Skookum and he confirms that FASSTest 14CH does NOT work on their units.
He says that they should have a fix out this spring.

I also found out that FASSTest 12CH sbus does work and the telemetry for the RX and the External voltage port does work in 12CH.

So, I'm good to go I will order myself a nice new Futaba T14SGH in the next week or so  :)

Thanks for your help R

Nice! That's good to hear.  I think you'll be really happy with the 14sg.

This coming weekend I'll swap receivers around and wire up my efuel gauge while I finish putting my E7 back together. I gave up waiting for my scorpion ESC to come back from repair and I bought a CC edge 160hv that I should receive tomorrow.

Well that stinks. Thanks for explaining it. I hope Skookum gets that squared away soon.

Glad that was pointed out here. I was also unaware. Batt voltages are the most useful of the telemetry features at least.

Cheers

I use Futaba on all my big stuff
Radio
servos
Futaba FBL gyro
However with that said spectrum has the best BNF set up so I have a DX7 for my 300x and 130x for the front yard and I get the best of both words.
