Gotta love Black Friday:

3 x TORQ - BL 9180 High Voltage Brushless Digital Cyclic Servo (BL9180)    =    $299.97
1 x TORQ - BL 9188 High Voltage Brushless Digital Tail Servo (BL9188)      =    $99.99

I had the RJX servos but they gave me initialization issues when coupled with a BEC -vs- RX Pack.

Therefore, I now have the Torq's on the recommendations of the esteemed mjburberry.

I am happy with the Torq's- I bought a set for my N5C TT.

On my E5 I use the Savox 1267 for cyclic, and 2272 on the tail.

On my E7SE I am using Futaba 272 for cyclic and 276 on the tail.

My E5 has Savox 1257 and a JR 8900 on the tail tuning 6v/5.5V.
 My E5 Stretch has RJXFS0521HV/521T on 8.4V.

Both have performed well.  The E5 is going to be getting some proteks eventually so I can run HV.

Cheers

N5c 3 Futaba bls171hv, 1 MKS HBL669, 1 savox sh-1537 on the throttle.

E7   3 Futaba Bls175hv, 1 futaba bls256 tail

All of these have been good to me.

I bought a set of used JR 8717's for the cyclic servos on mine.  While they've been great servos, the one thing I really don't like is that it's kind of a PITA to get JR wheels to get along with the Synergy CF servo arms.  I mean, it's not like an epic endeavor to make it work, it's just a lot nicer using servos that have the Futaba spline.

I just installed an Outrage Torq BL9188 as the tail servo today and flew it for the first time.  Seems like a really sweet servo.  I bought it on Black Friday for under $100.

It wasn't hard, I'm just whining. :). I can't even remember right now what I had to do.  It's just so easy with Futaba wheels, I got lazy.

BLS 255's and BLS 256 on my E5ss and E7.

Not sure but i think you have to drill some holes in the JR wheels.

I think I also had to enlarge the big hole in the carbon fiber arms because the JR wheels have a larger hub. The wheels are also larger in diameter than the Futaba wheels so, if you want a more finished look, you have to trim them to the diameter of the carbon fiber arms.

I'm using the Futaba BLS 255 of cyclic and 256 on the tail.  Unfortunately these servos have been discontinued.

The BLS272SV and BLS276SV have very similar specs to the BLS255HV and BLS256HV.

I've read elsewhere that these newer servos are the SBUS updates to the BLS255HV and BLS256HV.

Hello

I have 3 Futaba BLS451 on cyclic and a MKS BLS980 on tail on 5,7v YGE Bec. I will move on KST BL915x and BL905x soon on 8,4v.
Expecting to see a difference :)
