VBar setup

Can someone post their VBar setup. My n7 flies like a dream but I've been fighting bobbles during tic tocs for 25 flights on the e7se. They aren't bad but I've been wasting a ton of time trying to tune this out.

Have you optimized head gain yet? By this I mean slowly increase the over all head gain until you get negative tendencies?

yes. no bobbles with quick cyclic jabs, etc. I think this is a tail gain, pre comp, or gov gain issue.

Guess they aren't bobbles. More like tail kicks.

Ok then we first need to determine if its a gov issue or tail issue.

What gov are you running? Have you tried turning gov off and running flat curve?  See if the tail kick gets better without gov.

Its kontronik gov. Its rather soft compared to VBar gov so I doubt its the issue. I don't think you run VBar but the e7 requires abnormally high values to get get full travel using the recommended servo horn length. I wonder if its too much resolution which would affect gain values.


I would like to see the tail gains people are using with VBar.

My theory is that I would max out main gain till wag, then back off and increase I gain to reduce the kick, or error rate.

I have run vbar on e7s. The recommended tail servo horn length is a starting reference point. Don't be affriad to run a longer horn if you need to get tail travels where vbar likes them.

I found my issue. Seems the feathering shaft was bent. Had a close call the other day where I dug the tail blades in as well as the tip of the main blades. Very close call, saved it.. Guess the tips of the mains digging in the dirt bent the feathering shaft.
