Let the build begin.
« on: August 05, 2014, 08:11:29 AM »
My E5s mit showed up today so once I get off work I can pick it up and start the build.   Once I get that done I will have to pray to the heli gods for a sunny weekend so I can maiden it.  If it flies as nice as I am told my poor trex500 may become a dust collector.  I am looking forward to not having to upgrade/modify the build to have a decent flying machine.

Congrats on the purchase.  You will really like the E5, it is a great heli.  If this is your first Synergy build, be sure to post any questions as you will get great advice on this forum.  Synergy parts have very tight tolerances and are high quality, but there are a few tips & tricks (most of which are posted in the forum) for a successful build.

congrats bro! as helimike said, look for tips and tricks. there are some parts that are a tight fit and seem harder than they really are, that's where the tips and ticks come in! :)

on my last E5, I had to actually polish the tail rotor output shaft to get a very smooth feel. I usually do this on all of my helis just to be sure, but the tolerances are so good and tight that I needed to do it on this one.

you will really love this heli, flys amazing! I stretched mine to use the 626mm blades, and running on 12S, I am loving that size heli now!

I went 606 with the stretch.  It is my favorite size as a stretch

you should really try a set of 626's when they get back in stock. it is more stable than the 606's, and not a lot bigger either....very nice size.

I loved the heli at a 556m size too! its just a great heli man!

NUMBER 9 IS ALIVE!!!!!!

Ok the E5 lives.  Finally got a few bugs worked out and got a test hover in.  Other than some tail wag it flew nice in the wind here.  I don't think the gain was high enough due to the very slow wag when the wind hit it side on.
