I installed a Spartan Vortex VX1e on my E7 this weekend. I had a bit of a rocky start with it. I went through the initial setup and then between that time and when I maidened it, I did something that reset the sensor mounting orientation setting I had picked. As soon as the skids left the ground it rolled really hard to the left and destroyed my Rail 716s.
I went back through the setup thoroughly and did a much more thorough pre-flight for the second maiden. I have 7 flights on it so far and I'm really liking what I'm seeing, so far. This thing is freaking tiny!
The first positive thing that I noticed was that the head bobble that I was getting at around 1650 rpm is completely gone. I tried everything to get rid of it, before, but even with Ralph's progressive dampers I couldn't get rid of it with the SK540.
Hopefully they'll get the e-governor update out before long but I'm pretty happy considering it was only $150.
