Day three!
« on: September 20, 2014, 07:12:44 AM »
Just charging up some packs for another day of flying the E5.  It seems I have less and less interest in flying my 500pro.  Planning on more of the same easy flights just to avoid any mishaps until I get enough spare parts built up.  My wife is planning on sticking around to see it today so hopefully a pic or two.  Charger just stopped so time to head out.

I have uploaded a few pics my wife took on helifreak.  http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=650182

once the video she took finishes uploading I will post a link to them.  Nothing fancy but the E5 handles wind very well with the added weight of the 12cell configuration.  It still feels heavy to me compared to my 500pro which I expected but I enjoy flying it more than the 500.  Since putting it in the air my 500 has not left the shelf.

Not to get any hopes up, my wifes video skills are not good but her comments make me laugh.

Hey James,
Glad to see you are getting some good flights in on the E5. I love my E5 for simplicity at the same time will take anything you can throw at it. Enjoy and keep up the daily routine .

68kph wind gusts today.  It is just brutal when you get vertical in the wind.  Nothing like moving 20 or more feet without having to touch anything.  I am impressed with how well it handled it.  I still have some elevator bobble I have to dial out.

Good lord, I'm due for another crash ... I've had 2 this year ... one was almost a total write-off.

The other was some pretty basic stuff at IRCHA on my night rig.
