it took me a little while to get used to this as well. ask me how i know you should disable them, not just not use them  :o  lol

Got it

Sorry
My 10 years of flying airplanes overcame me.

I am in the same boat!  Just started flying heli's in the last 4 months and it has been a HUGE learning curve!  Luckily I have people around who can help (and of course the great folks here!) but I am finally at the point where I can confidently do my own set ups.  That came from crashing my N5 a couple of times (mild crashes thank god)  8)

You will find after getting a grasp on it that it is really not bad at all.  It does however make an airplane set up seem like childs play, lol  ;D

2 flights yesterday. Just really easy upright flying with gentle turns.

Very solid and stable. Very pleased.

Sounds like the rear tail gear is chattering a little on the governor from what I read I need to change the governor freq.

First impressions.
Very stable and solid compared to my 450x. The mass of the E5 give the sticks a very different feel. The 450x feels like a toy where the E5 feels like a substantial machine.
In forward flight the E5 is way less squirrelly for lack of a better term.
Feels very powerful even though I haven't pushed it at all yet.

Overall a successful build so far.

9 Flights today.  Sport flying.  Easy loops, little bit of inverted hovers (up high), stall turns and high speed passes. Still not throwing it around as aggressively as my 450x but that will come with time.

Felt very good.  Compared to my 450X this thing feels more like a pattern plane from my airplane days.  I can't get over the sold, stable feeling.  I think I am seriously going to enjoy this one for a long time.

Some notes
- Quantum motor runs very cool.  Only warm too the touch not even close to hot
- Getting and easy 4:30 flight times Pulse 6S 5000 packs coming back at 35%
- CC ESC data confirms headspeed of 2350rpm
- CC ESC max temps 104 F.  Ambient temps were 65F

Only things I would like to change would be a better way to mount the canopy.  The rear key chain mounts are easy but the front ones are a little cumbersome.  Is there a better option?

Very pleased Synergy owner.

I have QuickUK magnetic mounts on the front of my E5, E7, and N5C. I use the Trex 700 version.

I also use the Quick UK 700 NITRO magnetic mounts on the front of my Synergy birds.

I use the front slide mounts from the n7 I believe.  If you do a search you will find it.  Goes on easy.

Easiest way for me to put the canopy on is pull the front male mounts out until they are flush with the grommet, mount the back mounts, then align and secure the front ones.  Sometimes I just pull the front ones out to align easier...
