E7 Batteries. Thoughts?
« on: January 05, 2015, 12:15:56 AM »
Hello All,

I'm getting ready to revamp my battery collection for my new E7 and was just wondering what everyone else was using for batteries. I have been using 12s 5000mah in the past for my 700 class setup but would like to drop down to 4500. How's the E7 respond to these two setups? Cant wait to get this thing up and running, thanks for the input everyone!

Hi dyer508,

What i generally do is try to run packs which balance the helicopter perfectly once all the associated electronics have been installed. On my E7se i run a pair of 4400mah 6S 60C packs from GensAce, these balance the helicopter perfectly with my chosen electronics installation. I also use the packs with my E5 which is setup to run as a 550 on 6S.

The GensAce 4400mah packs are light and the E7 loves a light setup, making it much more nimble and snappy!  8)

Hope this helps, if i can help any further just give me a shout.
Cheers,
Ross

I run GensAce 4000 mAh and get 6 min at 2000 rpm with my big air flying style. Seems to have plenty of pop for me and floaty for autos.

4400 Gens Ace 65c and Revo 60c packs.

4400-4500 is a good size for E7. Lighter than 5000's and almost same flight time.

I am running 2 Glacier 4400 45c 6s packs on my E7 and it seems light and nimble.  No complaints.

Very nice guys! Thanks for all the input. I got my hands on some 4400TP 45C and I'm in the process of buying some of the glacier 4400 45C. I'll be sure to give my full setup here shortly, weather willing!
