cyclic bell crank installation N5c

(1/3) > >>

Nikzaff:
I have installed the bell crank assembly on a N5c. It says to make sure there is no lateral movent on the assembly. I have tried numerous ways yet still get slight lateral movement. It is impossible to stop the movement. The bearing flange the assembly sits in is thicker than the frame. Therefore allowing a slight movent. Does anyone else have this same problem???

Tommy Wagner:
The bearing flange goes on the outside of the frame and there should not be any play side to side the elevator and the right side bell cranks should stop all play along with the inside elevator arm

I understand what you are explaining. Yet the bell crank assembly shaft to me seems about 1mm too long. Its actually sliding left and right moving the side frame bearings with it.

Tommy Wagner:
Check the elevator arm and make sure it's tight against the frame the elevator bell crank and elevator arm should  sandwich the bearing and keep the rod from going any where can you take a picture of it?

Thats Exactly what i tried to do. I just had another look at it and the flange bearing which is on the outside of the frame is slightly thicker than the side frame. So i have sandwiched the bell crank and the elevator arm together yet they sqeeze up against the bearing flange and will not go any further. It stops them from sqeezing up against the frame.
