Nice Dan! If I do a 806 that's close to what I will do.  Kosmik 160, Xnova 4535-460 on 14s.

Cheers

Thanks for the kind words guys. I got to maiden today, both the 806 and my new charger setup 8) The 806 is awesome, what else can I say. Smooth, quiet, gobs of power, even at a mere 1750 head speed. I had my timer set at 5 min and I came down with 3.7 to 3.8 in the packs. Efficient setup. I also recently switched to an Icharger 4010DUO and a new 3000 watt, 50 volt power supply. WOW, I came from 2 thunder power 820's and this thing walks all over them combined. I was charging 7s, 5k packs from that same 3.7 to full in under 12 mins :o A NOTE TO ANYONE BUILDING AS AN 800 I would recommend using packs that weigh at least 1900 grams combined for balance whether they be 12 or 14s

As for the canopy stand, simple, just take a light board (1x4) drill pilot holes in the back at your desired angle and nail size( I would use something at least 3" long. Cut blades at same angle and stab the nails into the foam core. I used a bit of hot glue at the base to keep them from rotating. Obviously you could make it look a little flashy, I made mine hastily in about 20 mins. I will be building a new house in the next few years and didnt figure I would carry this over. I would also make it longer!

Yes sir, the 4010 duo rocks!! Killer setup Dan.
I notice your 766 skids look just like mine when I've gone out this week - mud and grass hanging off. Lol The field was pretty sloppy this weekend. Sliding autos didn't do the skids any favors! :)

Same here, though most of the dirt you see if from my crawler I had sitting there to drip off last time I had a warm spell of weather. I didn't have the confidence the first day of flying a new heli, not to mention not flying anything for the last 3 months, to auto onto the concrete pad :P

Nice build there Dan!!  I'm looking into a setup pretty close to the same.

What packs are you running?

I'm curious how much flight time you can get with a lower head speed.  I'm a slow flyer....till I get better, so flight time is important to me.

Nice to hear about the charger setup.  I redid mine last year, and well I did it right, cause I set it up to handle 7s batteries, but I went a little over board and rocking dual 4010s....so I can monitor each battery separately and keep enough charging to keep me going.

Grim, I am running 7s, 5000 packs I was flying at 1750 for 5 min and they came down with 3.75 per cell. so you could easily get 6. Next time I get a chance to fly ill be trying to stretch it out. But I think if i am going to stick that low I will need to get the tail speed up gear!

Good to know Dan!  I did a little looking today, and well 14s stick packs are sold out everywhere, and in Pulse Ultra they only go up to 45c, which for me I'm sure would be fine.  However, if you go the 2 individual packs, you can get more weight, like you were saying you needed to get CG correct.  My E5s and E7SE both use receiver packs, so that might be beneficial in this situation as well.

Just curious if you know how many mA you put back into your packs after 5 minutes at 1750?  I quit flying on a timer last year, but somewhat still use one to see how much time I've flown for before my mAh counter goes off.

Other question, how much clearance you got with the Pyro 850?  I know it's got to be tight!!
