The Pyro is definitely tight! only about 1/2mm on each side but there are no clearance issues. Im sorry I dont know about the maH count, I was also working with a new charging system and didn't even think about looking at that. I can definitely report back next time around with a good round number. I should be able to get a few more flights in by the end of the week weather permitting.

As far as packs go, im not sure you will gain much weight going with double 7's over a single 14, but I keep them that way for flexibility as I run these same packs in a 71" airplane and a E5s also :) But if you are able to position a receiver pack forward of the main shaft it will only help!

Just looking over your pics, and noticed you don't have the bolts in the for the lower bearing block for the motor.  I'm sure you put them in before flying, but just wanted to make you aware, incase you didn't know.   8)

Stellar looking build Dan, and awesome hobby area. Congrats on your new 766 and I charger too!!!!. I have the same charger and built my own power supplies from some hp rack server power supplies. I have two with the outputs isolated and wired in series for 24 vdc, for my portable setup, and 4 set up the same way in a case with independent switches for each for a total 0f 50 vdc. Works awesome.

Just curious if you know how many mA you put back into your packs after 5 minutes at 1750?  I quit flying on a timer last year, but somewhat still use one to see how much time I've flown for before my mAh counter goes off.

Grim, I finally got a chance to fly again today. 3 flights all were right close to 3600 mah back in after 5 mins. 1750 rpm @14 degrees of pitch, I am now flying 6 min :D

Awesome!  Thanks Dan for the info!!

I'm starting to pick my parts, and well took advantage of a code on my ESC, and have that already.  I'm not in a big hurry, so waiting on sale holidays to get the stuff I can't get from known contacts.

Are you running the 65c packs or 45c ones?  Think there's any real difference, other than $35 in cost?

They are actually 70c packs. I did notice a big performance jump when I moved from 45 to 65c a few years ago, but Not so much when I started going from 65 to 70. Packs come down cooler(mine seem to run about 20 degrees over ambient) and you have much better climbout power in my opinion

Stuck my Voltron Mini GPS on the 806 last weekend. Without changing anything from where I have been flying I registered 139.6 MPH in a single flyby pass ;D ;D ;D

I am now flying for a full 6 mins with about 4600 out of the packs

Great looking build, Dan! Where did you get the studs you used to connect the motor wires to the Kosmik?

They are RMQ connectors, he no longer has a web store, but esprit distributes for him.

It's a beast. The bigger the better in my book. I have had minimal flight time so far, the "spring" weather in Wisconsin has not been ideal for flying, rain and snow along with high winds almost daily. ::)
