« on: July 22, 2016, 03:58:46 PM »
So I have installed the 766 struts and pipes on the N7. There isnt alot of pics around for this so I thought I'd throw some up.

I also added a 25mm wide by 3mm thick aluminum spacer on the back to add a little rake.

Finished product. Even tho the original struts are higher unsprung, once they are installed they will sag until the tail hits the ground.

These 766 struts don't sag nearly as much and with the rake they keep the tail off the ground..

Personally I think these skids actually look better too as the original ones always looked as tho they belonged on a smaller heli.. imo.

Working away atm but from memory the tail is between 5mm and 10mm off the deck.

U have to turn the skids backwards 😉 i love it.  For me looks much better with the bigger skids! Love this machine. Yesterday i took my first inverted autos with the 766 and the n7. After flip it over the ground u got much of power left in the rotor. Here a pic from my N7.

Greetings from switzerland!!

The 766 skids look good on there, I'm going to have to do this to my N7. Why isn't there just an N7 updated skid set that is beefier and has built in rake? Seems like its a pretty widely known issue. I think it looks pretty janky with a stack of washers or similar.

molds are not cheap to make, and the 766 skids fit perfectly fine. by the way, my n7 skids dont, and never have, sagged. not sure why some peoples do.

I recently did this to mine as well. But I simply used two of the thicker blade shims we never use but all have a ton of laying around :)

I also like the look of them backwards :)

Yeah and neither is $900.00 for the kit. You must have the magic set that doesn't because I haven't seen one and we have quite a few at the field.

I probably do have the magic set then. bc mine really don't sag...
