Feathering shaft bolts.

Hi all!
     A good friend of mine is building his first Synergy, a 766, and when it came time to build the head, he couldn't get one of the bolts to break loose from the feathering shaft. Got to the point he clamped it in a vice and still couldn't break it loose.
     I've run into this REBUILDING heads but not on a brand new kit. He has now ordered new bolts and feathering shaft from Matt and Amy with instructions asking that they NOT be assembled. He's also ordered a Grippy tool (Aligns version), but normally, how do you guys get BOTH bolts out of a feathering shaft?
     I still don't understand why a brand new kit would be so tight. He even tried heating it with a torch and it wouldn't break loose. L. Quite confusing at this point. Thanks.

Mine were also very tight. Fortunately I owned a grippy.

Thanks Alan. Good to "see" you again. I'm the guy that purchased the N5C, blades and 766 blades in Huntsville. I won the 766 kit. Been looking for a chance to tell you thank you for all the help that day. I really appreciate it very much.

Just from personal experience i can tell you that if you email matt or amy they will make it right. Quite frankly, they may be some of the best in the industry when it comes to handling problems like these. My 766 was one of the first production run kits and it took almost 3 months for me to get started. When i did, i found a few issues that matt and amy immediately corrected. Just my two cents, but i know they'll bless your friend and name it right.

go to the lynx website and buy their tool...10mm spindle shaft tool...i hope that helps! this is the link....
