Servo arms

I was wondering if this model uses the same traditional Synergy arms? The carbon tear drop shape piece that bolts to a plastic wheel? Just getting stuff together.... Thanks

No it does not. You will just use the servo horns that is supplyed with your servos.

As always if you are using metal gear servos then use plastic servo arms. That will save some heartache

Futaba style spline, we're recommending 14-16mm. The mks servos came with 17mm and the geometry was a bit aggressive.

So being a fairly inexperienced builder, where would I order these arms?  Just to be clear, I DON"T want to use the arms that come with the MKS?

The dubros are 16mm and sab 500 arms are 15mm. We've been flying some different configurations lately and updated the manual to recommend 15-17mm arms. Off the record, 15 works well with vbar/ikon numbers and 17 works well with cgy.

The Mikado servo arms also work well... if I recall they were 17mm using the center hole.

I'd start with the ones that came with the servos. If none of those are suitable, then look at some of the other options mentioned.  On larger helis, I like the Dubro heavy duty arms, but on this 516 with mini servos, I'd probably go with regular Dubros.

I'm Using the Futaba aluminum 20mm single arms. The second hole is 16mm distance so I just drilled it and tapped 3mm then red locktited the balls in. Using futaba 173 servos  .  cgy750 settings in the 50's for both cyclic and pitch, so they're perfect. Provides for 15/15 collective and 10/10 cyclic

Thats straight from Mikado USA... Amain carries them as well, but currently out of stock there.. A quick google search will provide u several other vendors as well.
