Tools, grease, and extras for the 516 kit?
« on: November 29, 2017, 01:27:34 PM »
Just got my kit! I know I need the general hex wrenches 1.5-4mm, pitch gauge, Botos grease. What kind of thirty minute CA adhesive is good? What mm feathering wrench do I need for the head block? I’m using the the recommended electronics... scorpion motor, mks servos, and talon 90esc. What is the part number for the usb cord to program the talon? I’ve watched YouTube and read posts to get as much info for the tooling. If their is something I’ve missed any heads up would be appreciated. Thxs.

The spindle is 8mm.

+1 for JB Weld on the tail push rod.

Congrats on your new 516! It sounds like you are ready to jump right in. Take some time and read through the manual a couple times to familiarize yourself with the components and the assembly and you should be problem free. The head axle is 8mm. You will need some CA glue medium or thick to lock the screws down into the plastic rail for the battery tray slide. I recommend the use of JB Weld also for your tail assembly. The part needed for the Talon interface will either be the field programming unit or the castle link. http://www.castlecreations.com/en/accessories-5

When use Jb weld make sure to tape them till it dries, they will try to slide off. Leave over night they will never pull off. Soap threads easier to thead links on. Cliff

I just make sure that there's constant compression on the assembly while it cures. I'll usually mount the rod to one of its endpoints on the heli and then press the other end against something.
