Width of skids
« on: September 28, 2018, 04:43:31 PM »
I have a 766 on order and need to go ahead and get a helicopter shelf built this weekend. Could someone throw a tape measure across the skids and tell me how wide they are, outside to outside?

Thanks in advance

I have a 766 and 806.  I measured both, and the widest the skids were is 9 5/16".

Thank you Grimmy!  I will make the shelf so that there is 10" available for skid width then. I need this shelf to project as little is possible. Time to get the wood working tools out!

PUT A LIP , on the outside, sucks when you bump into it and slids off . When i used to keep my ships in the hobby room. I used eye screws  slip front of skids in then drop the back skids in to the lower eye screws. works great did the same in my trailer, then a cord too keep from bouncing out.
