E7SE discontinued
« on: October 18, 2018, 05:36:53 PM »
So just heard this Heli is discontinued. I just finished my build ready to maiden.

Matt Botos what’s your timeline for parts support. I already own another great Heli that was discontinued and it’s hard to get parts for it don’t want to be In the same boat with this one.

I switched from a belted Heli to E7SE cause I prefer torque tube and there is not many options anymore for quality torque tube Heli especially a light one.

You will be able to get parts for the E7SE for a long time to come.

Well that’s good to know. I tend to get a little Leary after the whole thunder tiger thing. I still have my e700 and the E7SE is very similar in size and weight but a least I can run a big motor in it. I’m not a fancy and new kind of guy just want something that’s reliable that fits by needs.

Got the maiden in today. Seems to like the 116 tail blades at 1960 rpm. The 106’s seem a little soft. Might do some more messing with the endpoints see if that helps but I’m thinking 116 is the way to go.

On the podcast Matt said the E7se was discontinued it also sounded like a 700 size was in the works.

The good news is the E7se shares lots of parts with n7 and e5. I would guess unless you break a e7 specific part like a side frame parts will be available for a long time.

Don't think Matt has ever included blades in a kit.
Either way I'm in line for one when its released.
Maybe its time we started looking for some hints on this new model.

It is interesting how different we all look at things. Most of the time I would prefer not to have blades included as I want a different size or brand and end of selling the ones that come in the kit for a loss. Think of the E5 for instance. It can be build to fit 556. 606.626,696 or 716 mains. I guess it comes as a 556 size so that is what goes in the box but then anyone who buys it and wants anything else has to resell the blades. I like the idea that I choose what I want after I decide on the kit. Take care

I feel the same way. Blades would never be a deal breaker. Minicopter doesn't include blades. I dont recall Miniature Airfcraft including them either. I guess Matt could raise kit prices and include blades :-)
Cheers

The new 700 is what I have been waiting for. I was sure the first few sneak peaks we seen of the 516 where in fact the new 700. The 516 is nice but I was so disappointed. I guess the old saying- the longer we wait, the sweeter the prize !! A 700 sized version of the 516 (yes)
